Stephanie Jaramillo earned her Master of Sciences in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix. Stephanie has been practicing in the field since 2013 and has experience working with a variety of issues ranging from: addiction, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and trauma including relational issues as well. Stephanie works in a variety of sessions including individual, group, couples and families. Stephanie has an eclectic approach to psychotherapy to ensure individualized treatment however sees pathology through a systemic lens and leans mostly towards Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). There are several valuable benefits of therapy that include: enhanced relationships, insights to address specific issues, greater decision making, enhanced communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a reduction in feelings of distress, discomfort, and physical pain. As research expands, it indicates how emotions connect to the pain response in which therapy can be an additional resource in managing overall pain.
